color + pattern 1

Very interesting palette from designer Sophie Theallet, Fall 2012 Runway. Source: Vogue.com

I’d like to see this combination of solids in a small wall quilt or a collage, with maybe a black + white stripe (the lines in varying widths)  - very geometric. But then again, I always like geometric shapes.

  1. I think this is interesting. Recently another online quilting fabric retailer made available a special bundle that was called Hot Summer Nights and it included Dark Violet, Coral, Violet, School Bus, Cerise, Cherry, Chocolate, and orange–many of the colors I see in the model’s clothing. I think they look great together and would love to see them put into some kind of solids quilt like that triangle one in Block Party. What do you think?

  2. Hi Jamie,
    Thank you for commenting.
Actually, I found the Pink Chalk Fabrics Solids Stack you are referring to, and it is amazing. Here it is: http://www.pinkchalkfabrics.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7551
