color + pattern #20 Juliana Horner

Hello,
I just read this post on Anna Maria Horner’s Blog. In case you have not heard of her, Anna Maria Horner is an amazing artist, fabric designer, sewist, quilter, pattern designer, needlework designer and more. Her Creative Bug workshops and book are wonderful. I have learned so much from her. I also love all of her fabrics and the new Pretty Potent Collection, is unique as always!

But, this post is about her daughter, Juliana Horner. I just saw her fashion designs and LOVE THEM! Read about Juliana here.

These are some images of her work photographed by Mario Zanaria.

color + pattern 15 – Beth Goolsby

Inspiration for color + pattern from Beth Goolsby.

Source: Beth Goolsby

Beth Goolsby is a painter currently located in Los Angeles. As a kid Beth was exposed to art through her mother, a painter and sculptor and her grandfather, a photographer. Finding inspiration through the art and design of the Bauhaus, mid-century graphic and product design, as well as the pop culture of the US and Japan, Beth absorbs and assimilates such concepts into a body of work that is uniquely her own.

As longtime friends living through mid-thirties transitions, our experiences seemed to converge more intensely than ever. This show is an attempt to find the meaning in that chaos that neither of us, in our separate solitary pursuits, could. Each piece is the product of the hopes, fears and delusions of the days, weeks and months of work that go into it. Sharing our work, as with sharing our paths, we find patterns, overlap.
